We are excited to utilize the Air Force Academy for the event headquarters and ride the most beautiful section of the Santa Fe Trail. There will be three mountain bike ride options utilizing the trail system. After the rides, there will be a family picnic and lots of fun activities for the kids. All proceeds from the ride will benefit Kids on Bikes. Pledges collected will help sponsor fifth grade students in low income school districts to earn bikes by reaching academic, behavior, and character development goals in our ABCs program. Choose from the following rides: * 24-mile Challenge This out-and-back ride begins at the South Entrance of the Air Force Academy and travels North on the Santa Fe Trail to the town of Monument. * 16-mile Route This ride is a better option for beginner to intermediate riders to tour the most scenic part of the Santa Fe Trail through the Air Force Academy. * 4-mile Family Ride The ride will begin at the South Entrance of the Air Force Academy and head south to a turn-around point at Woodmen Road. Registration fee is $25 per person or $50 per family for the 4-mile Family Ride. (Sign-up before September 11 when the price increases to $35 per person and $60 for the family ride!) All participants will receive a free Kids on Bikes water bottle and goodie bag. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A minimum of $25 in pre-collected pledges must be received prior to riding in addition to the registration fee.
