The Camp Shakespeare Players present The Taming of the Shrew

The Camp Shakespeare Players have been producing top quality productions since 2006. Students from the University School of Colorado Springs, as well as Mitchell High and others, come together for an intense five-day rehearsal week, and put on the production on the evening of the fifth day.

This year, the Players are tackling one of Shakespeare's most notorious plays - The Taming of the Shrew. And they're setting it in 1940s Italy. The original language remains intact, but the staging, costuming, and the complimentary refreshments at intermission with have a distinctly 1940s feel.

The Players are pleased to partner with Care and Share to encourage all audience members NOT to be a shrew, but to help tackle summer hunger. Each audience member that brings along a donation of canned goods for Care and Share will receive $1 off the ticket price.
