A drink or two of their specialty cocktails will have you making new friends in no time. The staff is courteous and attentive but gives you sufficient space to enjoy the community feel of the restaurant without being smothered.
To start off, Piglatin Cocina’s mixed drinks are incredibly well balanced. Whether you’re looking for something sweet, bitter, or strong, they will undoubtedly have the drink for you. The house margarita, in particular, wasn’t drowned or too strong – just the perfect pick-me-up after a long day’s work. In keeping with its street food roots, Piglatin Cocina’s taco offerings are simple but elegant. The Island Taco transports you to a beach in Puerto Vallarta enjoying the cool ocean breeze with its pineapple braised pork, jalapeno-cilantro cream, cabbage, cotija, and lime served on a crunchy blue tortilla. The Yucatan Taco highlights its Mayan roots with banana leaf tequila braised pork, cilantro, cotija, and pickled onions. For an elegantly eclectic twist on an all-American classic, try the Piggy Grilled Cheese – cooked to perfection and served with a mixed cheese blend, bacon, spinach, and sautéed onions, this will have you thinking of grilled cheese in a totally new, bright light.
