Are you feeling sad, burnt out, irritable, or are struggling in your relationships? Do certain problems feel too overwhelming to solve on your own? Whether you've tried therapy before or are considering it for the first time, I hope to help you feel comfortable and safe in our meetings as we explore whatever it is you've been going through. If you're struggling to move forward from things that have happened in your past, grieving a loss, having trouble in relationships, or dealing with big life changes (think graduation, divorce, empty-nesting, etc.) and are ready to work toward change in your life, I'd love to meet with you!
I use a psychodynamic, trauma informed approach integrating Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Attachment Theory. My goal is to empower you to improve your ability to cope with life's stressors, function better in relationships, process past issues, and overcome barriers to having the life and relationships you want.
I'm not a therapist who will stare at you silently and nod occasionally; I'll be getting in there with you, talking about anything you need to (I've heard it all!) from work & relationships to sex and strange bodily functions. Some of our work will feel serious, but we'll also laugh a lot. I hope to create a safe space where you can put it all on the table.
