Description
Help end modern-day slavery in Southern Colorado. Attend an HT101 presentation, followed by speakers from Law Enforcement, the District Attorney's Office, and survivor leader Dr. Jennisue Jessen.
Presented by Pikes Peak State College and The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado. Free and open to the public.
noon-1pm: Human Trafficking overview training (HT101)
presented by Retired Officer Chris Burns, CSPD
1–2 pm: Jennisue Jessen, child human trafficking survivor and founder of Compass 31, an international NGO, will discuss how Compass 31 fights human trafficking through prevention, restoration, and leadership development.
2–3 pm: Legal/Law Enforcement perspective presentation by Retired Sergeant Detective Craig Simpson and Stephanie Redfield, Senior Deputy District Attorney, Colorado 4th Judicial District.
3–4 pm: Panel Discussion with all presenters.
