Description
The Pikes Peak Whittlers are hosting their 37th Annual Woodcarving and Woodworking Show. Over 40 carvers and woodworkers will be displaying, competing, selling, and teaching about the creation of artistic treasures from wood. The public is invited to the Colorado Springs Shrine Club, 6 South 33rd Street in Colorado Springs, to enjoy this event on July 25-26, 2020. Judging the show will be Chris Hammack. Chris’ carving career began over 30 years ago after a thirty foot fall landed him in the hospital. During a five month convalescence, he picked up a piece of firewood and a pocket knife and began carving caricatures. Through his artwork Chris shares his intuitive knowledge of the cowboy lifestyle and the humor therein. This is a perfect time to pick up one of a kind handmade gifts and décor for your home. The show is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on July 25 and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on July 26. Admission is a low $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for seniors (65+) and military. Children under 12 are free with a paid adult admission. Scouts in uniform will be admitted free. For more information, please contact Steve Gurnett (719) 339-5164 or sgurnett@comcast.net
