President-Elect Trump: Where Do We Go from Here?
20 N Cascade Ave.
Colorado Springs, CO 80907
What many of us once thought was merely a distant possibility has become a chilling reality – Donald Trump has officially been elected the president of the United States of America. Our first task as progressives and moderates in the Pikes Peak region is to mobilize and develop a concerted opposition to his presidency, in addition to beginning to develop cohesive coalitions going forward.
It is time for progressives and moderates in the Pikes Peak region to finally unite under one banner. It will be our task to bring together moderate and progressive individiauls and organizations in the Pikes Peak region into a cohesive, unified force with the capacity, will, and organization to take on the deeply-entrenched reactionary establishment in our region. Only through unity can we overcome those forces.
This work will not be easy. This work will not be without risk. But if progressives and moderates in Colorado Springs finally come together to devise a consistent, unified strategy to improve the region, there is nothing we can’t do together.
Please join Unite Colorado Springs for a community forum and discussion on ways to build a progressive and moderate coalition in the Pikes Peak region with a true chance at electoral success in the future.
We will be meeting Saturday, December 3rd, at 12pm in the Penrose Library in the Carnegie Reading room.
