Description
The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance is pleased to present Morris Dees on Thursday, May 18, at the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton. The program begins promptly at 6:00. A cash bar will be available in the lobby before the performance.

Civil rights and diversity speaker Morris Dees is the co-founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit group specializing in lawsuits involving civil rights violations, domestic terrorism, and hate-motivated crimes. Dees has successfully battled and dismantled a series of hate groups, including the Aryan Nation and Ku Klux Klan, and has secured huge criminal, civil, and financial judgments against them. Dees was instrumental in the creation of the Civil Rights Memorial in Mobile, Alabama, was named the Trial Lawyer of the Year, and received the National Education Association's Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Award. He also received the highest award from the American Bar Association, the ABA Medal.

General admission for this event is $25 per person. You must RSVP online by May 14 at Universe.com/GreenbergDees to reserve your seat.

The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance created this program to educate and empower citizens about hate speech, to seek justice for victims of discrimination, and to defend the most vulnerable among us.
