Sorry, the time is up.
We are the second largest military softball tournament in the world and for the 33rd year, the tournament will be hosted May 29 - June 2, 2024, in the beautiful city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Surrounded by Military installations, continuously being ranked as one of the top three military towns, as well as being centrally located within the continental United States - it is a natural fit for the tournament to call Colorado Springs, Home.
The inaugural Band-Aid Tournament was hosted at the United States Air Force Academy in 1989, a creation of Dave Miles and the late Clyde Maddox. The tournament was created specifically for medical personnel within the various military branches and was very successful and continuously grew year after. In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s participation in the tournament had begun to decrease due to increased deployments of military personnel and the decrease in participation lead to the invitation of first in 2003 which incorporated security forces and firefighters. In 2007 the tournament was finally to all military varsity teams, and was the turning point of the tournament. The Military Band-Aid Softball tournament is now the second largest military softball tournament in the world, and only second to the “Military Worlds” tournament.
The military lifestyle allows for individuals to have friends from all of the world. These service members constantly moving throughout their careers and they are always making new friends while occasionally into old ones. For the 28th year, we pride ourselves on reuniting these friends/coworkers/ballplayers good fun, competitive play, and camaraderie.
These teams are required to travel hundreds if not thousands of miles in order to participate in this tournament and are also required to pay a team fee to offset the costs of the fields, officials, balls, and other requirements. We would like to ask you to join us and our team of sponsors in providing unforgettable and historic moments for these service members and local community members. By joining our event as a sponsor you are not only gaining direct exposure during the event to over 600 service members and families, but you are also helping us to contribute over $500,000 directly back into the local Colorado Springs economy.
