Calling all language enthusiasts and those curious about communication skills! Join us for an interactive and engaging Basic Sign Language Workshop presented by Cindy Powell, Disability Educator and Sign Language Instructor. 

This educational event aims to introduce participants to the basics of our nation's third most used language - sign language. Whether you're interested in expanding your language skills, improving communication with the Deaf community, or simply exploring a new skill, this workshop is perfect for you! 

Get ready to dive into the world of sign language and gain valuable knowledge within just three hours. The workshop will cover essential topics, including: - All handshapes, including letters and numbers - Basic phrases for everyday conversations - The fundamental rules of sign language 

This workshop is specifically designed to be accessible and inclusive for individuals of all abilities. Hosted by the local adaptive recreation program, ARISE Beyond Barriers, we are committed to creating an environment that promotes inclusivity and ensures everyone can participate meaningfully.
