The Mountain Post Historical Association is a nonprofit corporation founded to build the Mountain Post Historical Center. The museum will tell the story of Fort Carson and pay tribute to its Soldiers - past, present and future - who served there. The Center will be a distinctive landmark located just outside the main gate of Fort Carson, directly across from Cheyenne Mountain State Park.
Primarily, the Center will promote greater appreciation and understanding of contributions made by Fort Carson Soldiers since Fort Carson's activation in 1942. It will also serve as a tangible salute to thousands of men and women who served there, hundreds of whom made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
Many riveting stories are waiting to be told. Many fascinating artifacts are waiting to be shared. Whether you are a Soldier or a veteran, whether you want to pay tribute to a family member or friend who served, or are simply a patriot who wants to say "thanks," please support the campaign today.
